What is Warhammer 40K? - In the Grim Darkness of the Far Future, there is only War... Mankind has spread across the galaxy, and found that we are not lone. Alien races, some reassuringly similiar, some horribly xenic, fight for their worlds and their lives. Choose to play from over a dozen different races, and games lasting from 30 minutes to 30 days.

They come unpainted? - Yep. That's a feature, not a bug. Unassembled and unpainted figures allow players to bring their vision of the forces before them to life, customizing not only the color of their forces but their pose, terrain, and more. In fact, a large portion of our customers purchase the game only to assemble and paint, never planning on playing a game.

What do I need to play? - We carry a full line of Warhammer 40K, so you'll have a wide selection to choose from. You can see more information about all of these products, including a piece by piece breakdown, on the Game Workshop web site.
The Battle for Maccagre ($50) is the learn to play kit, containing enough miniatures for two players, dices, templates, terrain, and the rulebook. Each army choice also has a Battleforce ($90) which contains all the figures needed to get started with that specific army.
We also sell modelling supplies. Super Glue is needed to put the pieces together; we carry both a liquid base and gel base (in case you have the sticky-fingers problem). Most players use acrylic paint; we carry game specific lines, with both brighter colors (to help the model stand out on the board) and a mixed in sealant (to prevent chipping and wear as the models are held). We also carry brushes, bases, and the assorted sundries for the game.
